The 3 P’s of Life
Want to paint a life the way you want to live? One that is filled with passion, performance and purpose?
Passion. Whatever be your field of interest or choice — business, sports, a career in medicine, education, law, public service or any other – I don’t think anyone can perform at his or her best without passion. Life’s too complex and tough to get to the top without passion. The excitement, the energy that goes with it ultimately sustains it.
Get ready to accept this – During your lifetime you may fail, be taken advantage of, be disappointed by people you trust, disappoint yourself, run out of resources—almost every day you will encounter or create a good, solid, logical reason why you ought to give up and go back to a easier, simpler life. And without passion, you just might fall prey. That’s why passion is the prerequisite for high performance.
Performance. Performance is dependent on your passion, perseverance, determination and a willingness to do continue doing something until you can do it well. Remember everyone remembers a job done well. True peak performance is influenced by all aspects of your life …the condition of your physical, mental, social, family and spiritual life. And though our surroundings may change and impact the way we think and act, it is our willingness, our intent to keep moving forward, striving against all odds, which give us the power to succeed.
Purpose. Purpose is the key to the whole dynamic of motivation. There are lots of people who have passion. But because they lacked purpose, their passion would come and go in bits and pieces. Such people try to generate their passion out of their own energy day after day, something that’s ultimately unsustainable. Stop for a while to think what you really aspire for… if you were to look back at the end of your life, what would you like to see yourself as having achieved. What accomplishments must, in your opinion, occur during your lifetime so that you will consider your life to have been satisfying and well lived – a life of no regrets?
Connecting your 3 P’s will help you connect all the meaningful dots in your life, one by one. What you will achieve as an outcome of this will be a life of fulfillment—a life you want to start living.

Life is our project. We are our life’s creators. There is an essential freedom inside; now it is up to you to choose what you would like to happen to you in life and then you will see that it starts happening. One thing is linked with another, one thing leads to another, and slowly you have taken a certain route. When a child is born, all the alternatives are open; he is utterly free.
He can be a musician, poet, wrestler, a politician, he can be anything an Adolf Hitler, a Gautama Buddha; anything is possible But sooner or later choices start coming and he starts moving in a certain direction. Then that direction remains his world.
